これは長い間好きだった曲だよ。13歳くらいのとき、テレビの『キングダムハーツ』の予告で宇多田の曲にハマったんだ。それからずっと追いかけて、'Flavor of Life'が出たときは毎日何度も聴いてた。後にヒッキーはメインストリームから姿を消したけど、8年くらい前に日本に戻ってからはYouTubeで追えるようになった。このライブで再びこの曲を聴けて本当にノスタルジックだった。まだまだ実力はあるし、アメリカがもっと評価してくれたらいいのに。世代を超える才能だね。
This was my favorite song for the longest time. I think I was 13 when I first got hooked on Hikaru's songs, thanks to that one Kingdom Hearts trailer on tv. Been following her ever since, and when Flavor of Life released, I was listening to that song at least one time every day for years. Then Hikki kinda disappeared from the mainstream, so I couldn't follow anymore. Thankfully she went back to Japan (I think 8 or so years ago?) and since then I've been able to follow her on Youtube. This was such a nostalgic hit hearing this song again, performed live no less. She's still got it! Still kinda sad the US didn't treasure Hikaru as much. A generational talent.
