Kentucky Fried chicken for Christmas dinner?? Never. Turkey and all the trimmings, a family tradition with memories of course. https://t.co/Jvg7TOrdVX

This is such a great post. 🤣 I never heard that before & am completely delighted. Although, I hope they also import the meaning of Christmas which is more important ❤️

meanwhile, there are many grocery stores that offer a turkey dinner for Thanksgiving and Christmas. That also must be ordered in advance

I have never done it – but with the family shrinking as we get older, I would consider this a great idea and some good fun!

The KFC in Japan is so much better than it is in US, because they still make it there the way it used to be made here. The US KFC fried chicken isn’t what it used to be.

What you eat isn't as important as the people you eat WITH. Christmas is a time to bring the people you love close and to share in the cozy feeling of being together. And if it's done with a bucket of fried chicken, there's no problem as long as you're having a Merry Christmas.

All kinds of things get served for Christmas dinner. Honeyed Hams, Turkey, Beef Roast, Roasted Chicken, Fried Chicken, Steaks, and thats just the main course item.
What matters is you make the tradition yours in someway and keep good company. Then pass that down to the next.

KFC hasn't been good in America in probably 20 or 30 years. Once upon a time though it was very good. I've never had it in other countries, so I don't know how it is in Japan.
The recipe is fine, it's just now they use low quality ingredients here.

No, but I like the idea and the intention behind this. What matters the most for any celebration dinner is who you enjoy it with – the menu is not so important.

nope. Never have. Hams, turkeys, pumpkin and apple pies, yams, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas,, but never KFC. That's for picnics. Having to reserve KFC is mind-blowing.👀

Americans have all kinds of Christmas traditions it's however your family wants to do it. For those of us that are Jewish its tradition to go to a Chinese restaurant on Christmas Day.

I tried this last year (minus the strawberry cake). KFC ain't what it used to be. This year I'll get a Costco roast bird & maybe one of those nifty Japanese style Christmas cakes🎅 https://t.co/BCj4KvB4jF

Turkey is most common for Thanksgiving. Christmas is often ham, prime rib, even leg of lamb. What's more important is family. If Japanese families are enjoying KFC and strawberry cake for Christmas, I'm happy for them.

Traditions vary.
In my family, Turkey was for Thanksgiving and we had honey baked ham for Christmas Eve and then duck or goose for Christmas Day.
Fried chicken was in the “every day kind of food” category, and although good, was not considered celebratory.
