There's a classic sentence people use to test it: "Kisha no kisha ga kisha de kisha shita." Four "kisha," four different words. "Your company's reporter returned to the office by train."
If Omarchy gets that one right, it's ready for Japan. +1

The ability to translate text in any application could be useful and seems like something we should have in 2026 at the OS level rather than relying on features in specific applications. This could be done either through highlighting some text and invoking some shortcut to translate it, or even via a shortcut to screengrab a portion of a window to have translated. Might be useful when you open a chinese readme.md or install a foreign application. +1
