スリープポッドって感じじゃないが、外出中のビジネスパーソンにとってはとっても便利そうだ。仕事で駅を走っていたところ緊急事態が発生して、Zoom ミーティングのブースに飛び込むことができて非常に便利だった経験があるよ！いつの間にかこれをよく見るようになったけど、それ以前にもいくつか存在していた気がする！
They aren’t sleep pods but very useful for the business person on the go. I was running between stations for work and an emergency came up, so I managed to jump into one of the booths for a zoom meeting. Very useful. These popped up around covid times, though some existed before then too.

Japan is one of those places I think I’d want to travel to to just see “ordinary” stuff like this. Not really tourist attractions or natural wonders, just a bit of everyday life in places like this.

These only work in Japan because the people are clean and respectful. I wouldn’t use one in many other countries and certainly not the UK!!

Wow this sleep pod is convenient for travelers while waiting for their rides who don’t need to commute to stay in a hotel room. This is very futuristic and thank you for letting us view the state of the art technologies that Japan has invented and the world is looking forward to import them or one day a local company will introduce a similar invention.

I’m pretty fascinated by the accommodations that Japan has. Everything about them feel orderly and sort of futuristic, yet not going overboard on technology, only being used for convenience, and I love that. It gives Japanese cities so much character that many other cities in many other countries lack.

I think “nap pods” at airports, etc., are a really great idea, especially when your flight gets cancelled four times and you have an unexpected 3-hour delay.

Man… If there’s any born-and-raised Japanese people that live in Japan currently, reading this… I’m jealous of how nice daily life looks. For an outsider, this is like Seventh Heaven. Japan, or at least Tokyo, looks like the kind of retro-futuristic cities that shows like Akira and Cyberpunk advertise.

These things would most certainly make a lot of sense in a lot of other countries. Tons of tired people in stations everywhere have looked at the luggage lockers and thought: “I wish they were just a bit larger, so I could fit in to safely take a nap… “
